Success Stories

Happy parents, thriving kids!

Bella is simply amazing!  We owe her for helping my son grow into an independent writer during such a challenging academic year with Covid.  Bella worked remotely with Liam each week during sessions that he truly enjoyed.  Bella has a knack for working with kids, making them feel confident and at ease.  Within a few months of working with Bella, my husband and I, along with Liam’s teacher, all saw amazing progress.  Liam went from struggling to even put pen to paper to finding a love of writing.  His stories are now so creative, rich and long!  Thank you Bella and Cara!

Jen has been an excellent reading tutor for our daughter, Alice. She makes the lessons on zoom extremely fun and engaging and Alice is always on high after the lessons are over. Her reading skills have improved so much that she now thoroughly enjoys independent reading and it’s hard to even know she is dyslexic. I cannot recommend Jen highly enough!

Jurga has been nothing short of amazing! She is very accommodating, and has found a way to get my daughter excited about reading. The proof is in the leaps and bounds my daughter has made in her reading fluency since Jurga began working with her last year. And Jurga speaks Spanish too—an added bonus in my bilingual household!

We feel very lucky to have found Lauren. Our two children are very different learners with unique strengths and weaknesses. Lauren has managed to connect with each one, then build skills that have turned them into confident readers – all over zoom! It takes the stress off us as parents to know that we can focus on the joy of reading with our kids instead of worrying about their technical progress.

Lyn brings so much energy to the zoom lessons that my daughter is fully engaged throughout every session.  And Lyn now has my dyslexic daughter excited about reading – she actually asks me if we can read together! Lyn has been extremely flexible and has taken Anna to another level with reading. The fact that Anna now hands the phone back and opens a book on the train ride to school instead says it all.

We’ve seen exponential growth in our daughter’s reading abilities since she started working with Mahta. Before Mahta, our daughter hated sitting down for tutoring. She’d complain up to the minute the session started, squirm throughout it and then she’d refuse to do practice work afterwards. With Mahta, our daughter is energized for each session and now reading on her own! It’s remarkable how quickly she’s made progress, and most importantly, we love the confidence she now has.
The other day she declared, “Mom, I’m a bookworm!”
